What is smol laundry made from?
>30% Anionic Surfactants, 15-30% Non-Ionic Surfactants, 5-15% Soap, <5% Phosphonates, Perfume, Optical Brightener, Enzymes.

Have you tested smol?
Most definitely. Industry-standard lab testing and analysis concluded that smol performs better than or equal to other comparable capsules on the market.
Is smol tested on animals?
No. smol never test any of our products on animals and neither do our manufacturers.

Does smol contain any ingredients derived from animals?
No. smol doesn't contain any ingredients derived from animals.
Is smol safe?
Yes, smol is totally safe when used as laundry detergent. Always securely seal your pack and store out of reach of children. For further details please see our safety section.
Is smol safe for sensitive skin?
For sensitive skin we recommend our non-bio, however if you are concerned please do test smol on select garments first.
Can I use smol if i have a skin condition?
Many of our customers with skin conditions are happy with smol but if you are concerned please do test smol on select garments first.
How many capsules in a pack?
The standard pack holds 24 capsules. The free trial pack holds 9 capsules.
How is smol so small?
Our smol technology took a long time to develop. It enables us to concentrate our capsules far more than any other capsule on the market and still delivers great cleaning results.
Do you use less chemicals than other laundry capsules?
Yes. Our smol technology allows us to use lower levels of added chemicals per wash when compared to the other capsule brands.

No smol is a detergent, like other detergents it does not contain antibacterial agents.

Yes it does they help to make the white fabrics whiter and counter greying and yellowing in fabrics.
do optical brighteners affect coloured garments?
No they are not detrimental to coloured fibres in any way.
What is the fragrance?
We developed the smol smell after many months of fragrance testing. Not only does laundry smell fresh straight from the machine, the encapsulated fragrance ensures a longer lasting scent for your laundry.
Why does smol look darker in colour than other laundry capsules?
Due to its concentration, the colour can appear darker than other brands. This does not affect clothes or cleaning performance.

Usage questions
How do I best use the capsules?
Pop the smol capsule at the back of the machine drum and then add your laundry. Do not tear or cut the capsule. Use 1 capsule per normal load in a standard drum (up to 5kg), or 2 capsules for larger drums over 6kg. For hard water or heavy soiling you can add an extra capsule. Always handle capsules with dry hands. Do not overfill your machine. A 10cm space between your laundry and top of the drum will allow the capsule to disperse evenly. Always securely seal your smol double-lock pack and store safely out of reach of children.
Can I place the capsule in the dispensing drawer?
No. Always pop the smol capsule at the back of the machine drum.
Can I use smol with all my washing?
Always follow washing instructions in accordance to clothing labels. smol is not recommended for use on wool or silk garments.
Can I use smol with any temperature wash?
smol can be used at various temperatures. Always wash according to garment instructions.
How many capsules should I use?
Use 1 capsule per normal load in a regular machine (drum size up to 5kg). For larger drum sizes use 2 capsules per load. For hard water or heavy soiling add an extra capsule.
Can I still use fabric conditioner, stain remover and\/or colour-run sheets?
Yes. Always follow washing instructions in accordance to clothing labels.
Can I use smol to hand-wash clothes?
smol is not recommended for hand-washing laundry.
Can I tumble dry my clothes having washed them with smol?
Yes. Always follow washing instructions in accordance to clothing labels.
Can smol be used on coloured washes?
Yes smol can be used on coloured washes too.
Is smol suitable for septic tanks?
Yes smol laundry capsules are suitable for homes with septic tanks.
I have a soak away, is smol suitable?
No smol is not suitable for a soak away.
Packaging
What is your packaging made from?
Our outer boxes are made from board which is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) approved as you will see from the tick tree logo. This logo certifies that the source of board is carefully managed without harming the world’s forests. Our white plastic containers are made from 90% recycled PET with only a 10% new PET layer.
Is your packaging recyclable?
Yes, it is 100% recyclable.
What is the film of the smol laundry capsule made out of?
The film is made out of polyvinyl alcohol. Both the laundry capsule and dishwash tablet are 100% water soluble and biodegradable.
Is the packaging child-safe?
smol packs are specially designed to be child-impeding. Make sure packaging is always sealed after each use with the resealable label and locking tabs. Our laundry capsules also include our unique double-lock tab. Always securely seal your smol double-lock;pack and store safely out of reach of children.
Where should I store my smol packs?
smol packs are designed to be compact and easily stored. Keep your smol pack in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight and not below 4ºC. Always securely seal your smol double-lock pack and store safely out of reach of children.
Will my dog chew through the packaging when it is posted?
smol packs are designed to make them difficult for animals to get into, however if your pet normally chews the post we recommend we do not deliver to your home. We could perhaps deliver instead to a friendly neighbour or your work address?

How does the product trial work?
Once you register with us we will deliver your first trial pack of 9 laundry capsules or dishwash tablets. Fourteen days later we will process your first main pack to start your bespoke smol plan; and then ongoing we will send you what you need when you need it.
How much does the trial pack cost?
The trial pack is free. We just ask for $1 to cover postage.
How much does the regular pack cost?
A regular pack of laundry capsules costs just $3.85 for 24 capsules (16p a wash) saving you up to 50% on your normal brand price.
How often will you deliver?
You will have your own unique delivery schedule according to your laundry or dishwashing needs. The frequency is calculated and confirmed when you checkout.
Where can I view my orders?
You will receive a customer account and login details once you have signed up to receive smol. When you login you can click on your deliveries and view your upcoming orders.
When is my next delivery?
Login to your customer account by clicking on your deliveries and you will be able to check the date of your next charge date. You delivery will arrive within maximum 6 days of this date.
What if I forget my login details?
All order confirmation emails contain a direct link to your customer account that takes you straight to your login screen where you can use the forgot your password? link. Or alternatively, login via the website login page where you can use the forgot your password? link.
Can I change my regular delivery?
Yes. Login to your customer account and select the manage smol plan section. Choose the smol plan you would like to edit. You can then change deliveries to suit you. Remember to select save to confirm your changes.
Can I skip my next delivery?
Yes. Login to your customer account and select the your deliveries section. Choose skip on the upcoming next delivery.
Can I bring forward my next delivery?
Yes. Login to your customer account and select the manage smol plan section. Choose the smol plan you would like to edit. You will be given the option to select a new date that suits you. Remember to select save ; to confirm your changes.
Is there a deadline for changing a scheduled delivery?
Orders need to be changed or skipped via your customer account within 24 hours of the current scheduled charge date.
Can I change my delivery address?
Login to your customer account and go to the manage smol plan section. Here you can edit your address. Remember to select save to confirm your changes.
Can I change my email address?
Login to your customer account and go to the your details section. Here you can edit your email address. Remember to select save to confirm your changes.
Can I cancel my smol plan during my trial period?
Applies to customers who have so far only received a trial pack. You are free to cancel at anytime, we only ask that you have tried the laundry capsules or dishwasher tablets first. To cancel please contact hi@smolproducts.com and give your name, address and reason for cancellation.

What if my delivery falls on a public holiday?
Over the Christmas holiday period, your smol plan next delivery date will be amended to ensure your delivery is sent in advance. For all other public holidays your smol plan will be dispatched on the first working day following that date.

Can I buy smol online without having a smol plan?
No. Smol is only available for regular delivery.
What is your returns policy?
We offer a money-back guarantee should you not like smol. Full details can be found in our T&Cs. Simply get in touch via hi@smolproducts.com
Can I set up a smol plan as a gift?
Yes. Simply supply details of whom you wish to gift smol to within the delivery address section upon registration.
Do you charge for delivery?
No. Delivery is free ongoing.
Where do smol deliver to?
We can deliver our capsules across the US except minor outlying islands
Can you deliver smol outside of the US?
We are also present in the UK. For delivery in the UK please visit smolproducts.com. For other destinations please sign up to our newsletter and watch this space.
Do I need to be present for delivery?
No. smol is designed to be delivered at your door so you don’t need to be at home in order to receive your delivery.
Why isn’t my zip code accepted?
When entering your postcode be sure to put a space them correctly.
What if I don’t have a letterbox?
If you don’t have a letterbox your smol pack will be left wherever your post is normally put. If you are not confident that this is a safe place then please provide us with an alternative postal address.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept debit and credit cards; Visa, Mastercard, American Express and ApplePay. We are not able to accept PayPal or prepaid cards at this time.
Are there membership fees or cancellation fees?
No.

I see Stripe in my bank statement – what is that?
Stripe is our payment partner. You may see Stripe (or a variation of Stripe) on your card within the first 24 hours of placing an order. Thereafter smol should appear on the statement instead.
I am purchasing from outside the US. Why is my card being declined?
We currently only deliver within the US. If you are purchasing from outside the US but wanting delivery to be within the US please contact us at hi@smolproducts.com
Do you charge for delivery?
No. Delivery is free ongoing.
Does the smol plan price include Sales Tax?
No. Sales Tax for smol gets calculated based your delivery state. You will be able to see the sales tax applied on each of your order statements in your customer portal.
Why has my payment failed?

Where can I check previous payments?
Login to your customer account and select order history to review all past payments.
Will I be refunded if I return an unwanted order?
Yes. As long as the package is unopened and undamaged. We will process your refund upon safe receipt.
